Wood Epoxy World is hiring a small team of writers, artists, and video creators to create content for WoodEpoxyWorld.com. Wood Epoxy World is ultimately still a small site, but has large goals. We are hoping to help the next generation of epoxy artists and woodworkers learn and grow their businesses. In order to accomplish this, we need people will to contribute to the content creation who have experience working with wood, epoxy, or both.
If you’d like to get paid for your expertise, and earn a little extra to pay for your craft, then this is a great opportunity.
WAYS OF GETTING PAID. We are looking for people to contribute in the following ways:
- Writing Articles. This is our primary need. You don’t have to be an expert writer to help us out, you just have to be fluent in English, understand some of the intricacies of woodworking and epoxy, and be willing to learn our methods. The end goal of this position is to provide the user with the best, most accurate information possible.
- Making Videos. This is a new system we are trying out. If you are good able to make creations with a camera on you (or your hands) and explaining to the viewer how it works, that’s good enough for us.
- Providing Photos. Often we look to use artists photos when we are creating specific content. Pricing varies based on what we need, but we also purchase bulk rights to photos from artists to use as needed.
PAYMENT. We pay $0.05 per word, and our articles are all either 1,000, 2,000, or 3,000 words in length. So you’ll be paid either $50, $100, or $150 per article depending on the length. Article lengths are assigned based on the topic, so you’ll know up-front how much you’ll be paid for your efforts. We make payments in various ways, via PayPal, Upwork, Fiverr and more.
CREDIT. Writers will have their bio appear on their articles and you can mention a social media profile or store in that bio if you choose to build up an audience over time. However, some articles may be requested to be ghost written. For example, if we reviewed a particular product on our channel, we may request that a writer create an article based on our opinions and experience with the product and we will publish it under another name.
PERKS. One major perk of working with us is in our ability to help promote your products. Freelancers who work with us on a regular basis are able to promote on our Instagram and Website, as long as the products and content are in-line with our mission.
SCHEDULE. All writers will be expected to produce at least one article per month. It is critical that you not miss a due date, ever. Writers who miss a due date will be let go. For most freelance writers, two to three articles per month is perfect so they have plenty of time to work on it without being overwhelmed, but writers can almost always pick up additional articles to write if you’d like more work. You can write articles at your leisure and as long as they are sent in prior to the due date.
OWNERSHIP. You understand and agree that all photos, videos, written content, and all other media submitted to WoodEpoxyWorld.com becomes the exclusive property of Wood Epoxy World and you do not have the right to republish that content on your own site.
LEGAL. This opportunity is available for writers around the world. This is a freelance writing gig and we will not be responsible for any benefits beyond the agreed upon cost.
